In what may have been the most impressive offensive showing of San Antonio FC's young history, the home team defeated Real Monarchs 4-2. The reigning Western Conference Champions, Real Monarchs SLC, are coming to Toyota Field for the first of two games this season. The Monarchs lead the Western Conference with 41 points. San Antonio enters the match in 11th place with 22 points. The teams faced each other twice last season, resulting in a 2-2 draw and a 2-1 San Antonio win. The Monarchs most recent result was a 2-0 win against Seattle Sounders FC 2.
